Bea Alonzo has shared her thoughts on marriage, emphasizing that tying the knot isn’t a universal goal.
“Hindi naman marriage ‘yung laging endgame ng lahat,” the 37-year-old actress said during an interview with Saksi on GMA-7. “I mean, we have different paths, we have different destinies and fate,” she added.
The Widows’ War star said she is open to the idea of new love and marriage but is not placing pressure on herself. “If it (marriage) happens, then I’d be happy, but that doesn’t mean I would beat myself up if it doesn’t happen,” Bea said.
Although she admitted to having admirers, Bea clarified that she is not dating anyone exclusively.
Previously engaged to actor Dominic Roque, Bea revealed their plans to wed in 2024. However, the couple announced their amicable breakup in late 2023, saying, “after much thought, consideration, and care, we have mutually decided to amicably end our engagement.”
Reflecting on the breakup, Bea said it made her stronger. “Natutunan kong i-cancel talaga ‘yung mga noise na hindi kailangan sa buhay ko,” she said, adding that she now embraces opinions that add value to her life.
For now, Bea seems focused on enjoying her single life and exploring her own path without rushing into marriage.
