Indian expat praised by Dubai Police for returning AED100,000 found in Al Barsha

Dubai Police recently recognized Swadesh Kumar, an Indian expatriate, for his exceptional honesty in returning AED 100,000 he found in the Al Barsha area. Brigadier Majid Al Suwaidi, Director of Al Barsha Police Station, presented the certificate of appreciation to Kumar, underscoring the value of integrity and public cooperation in Dubai’s community.

The award ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officers, including Colonel Mostafa Mohamed Abdullah, Head of the Traffic Registration Section, and Lt. Col. Yasser Al Hashemi, Head of the Criminal Records Section. Brig. Al Suwaidi commended Kumar’s actions, highlighting that such acts of honesty contribute to Dubai Police’s strategic goals by fostering public trust and collaboration.

During the ceremony, Brig. Al Suwaidi praised Kumar’s positive role in strengthening Dubai’s reputation through community support, stating that such values enhance societal security. In response, Kumar expressed his appreciation for the recognition and noted that he felt it was his responsibility to ensure the funds were returned to their rightful owner by promptly bringing them to the Al Barsha Police Station.
