Actress Ruffa Gutierrez has confirmed that she is in a “serious” relationship with Herbert Bautista. The revelation came during an interview with Karen Davila, where Ruffa was accompanied by her daughters Lorin and Venice.
During the discussion, Venice praised Herbert, describing him as “a nice guy” who is well-suited for her mother. “She is ecstatic about him,” Venice added, expressing happiness for her mother’s joy. Lorin reflected on their mother’s past relationships, acknowledging that while some were questionable, Ruffa has always followed her heart.
Ruffa emphasized the seriousness of her relationship when asked about the romance rumors that began in 2022. “I never go into a relationship that’s not serious. I’m always the serious type,” she stated, adding that she prefers to keep her personal life private for greater happiness.
Lorin also touched on the potential of marriage between her mother and Herbert, advocating for protective measures such as prenuptial agreements. “Marriage is a very big commitment,” she remarked, expressing trust in her mother’s judgment.
The couple met on the set of the 2020 series “The House Arrest Of Us,” starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. Their relationship grew after Herbert invited Ruffa’s daughters to join their first date during the Christmas season, a gesture that both daughters appreciated for its propriety and thoughtfulness.
Venice and Lorin also noted Herbert’s positive influence on their mother, including encouraging her to resume her college education during the pandemic. “He helped her get back into school and really encouraged that for her,” Lorin shared.
Ruffa was previously married to Yilmaz Bektas, with whom she shares her two daughters. The couple separated in 2007.
