Dubai Police and Aster DM Healthcare unite for 150,000 Ramadan iftar kit distribution

Aster DM Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider in the GCC, has once again teamed up with Dubai Police to distribute Iftar Kits to motorists across the UAE during Ramadan. Now in its 5th year, this initiative underscores Aster DM Healthcare’s dedication to community service during the holy month.

Led by Aster DM Healthcare in collaboration with Dubai Police, the campaign aims to provide essential Iftar kits to individuals stuck in traffic while breaking their fast daily. With over 300 volunteers, including Aster Volunteers and community members, the kits will be distributed at 13 locations across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Ajman.

Under this partnership, volunteers from Aster DM Healthcare will deliver 150,000 Iftar boxes over 30 days, amounting to 5,000 food boxes distributed each day. Each box contains dates, water, a cake, and juice, offering relief to motorists during the evening rush hour.

Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing collaboration, emphasizing the importance of providing timely meals for those on the move during Iftar. He praised the impact of the meal boxes distributed at traffic signals in allowing people to break their fast without worry.

Brigadier Juma Khalfan Bin Suhail Almheiri, Deputy Director of Al Raffa Police Station, highlighted the significance of the initiative in fostering community support and solidarity during Ramadan, echoing sentiments of pride in collaboration.

Last year, the campaign distributed 117,000 Iftar boxes over 30 days, with an increased number planned for this year, showcasing growing support for the noble cause. The initiative will continue throughout Ramadan, ensuring individuals across the UAE have access to nutritious Iftar meals, reflecting the values of compassion and solidarity central to the spirit of the holy month.
