You can now train on a world-class track with Dubai Police — and it won’t cost you a dirham

Dubai’s racing circuit is getting a new kind of regular crowd. Dubai Police has launched a free community fitness initiative at Dubai Autodrome, inviting residents of all fitness levels to cycle, run, or walk on the 4.29-kilometre International Circuit every Wednesday evening.

The programme, called Ride & Run with Police, runs from 7pm to 10pm at the Motor City venue. Sign-on opens at 6:15pm, and participants can join the track from 7pm onwards. Families with children, amateur cyclists, and professional riders are all welcome to take part alongside Dubai Police’s own cycling contingent.

Those looking for more than a casual lap can sign up for one of two bootcamp sessions offered at 6:30pm and 7:30pm. The sessions use functional training equipment built from actual kart parts, focusing on strength and endurance within the motorsport venue.

Entry is free, fully covered by Dubai Police, though pre-registration is required to secure a spot. Cyclists are required to wear helmets, and rollerbladers must come with full protective gear. The circuit operates in a single direction, with cyclists keeping to the left and runners, walkers, and skaters on the right.

Participants under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian. Motorised devices are not permitted on the track.
