Vintage cap collection hits 3,100, setting a world record in Dubai neighborhood

The Abu Hail neighborhood in Dubai became the backdrop for an extraordinary celebration of vintage style and nostalgia, as the “Latagan sa Gitnang Silangan” event drew cap enthusiasts from across the emirates. This unique gathering not only showcased an impressive array of vintage caps but also set a new world record with a collection of 3,100 pieces.

Organized by local collectors and in collaboration with Bangketa.PH, a notable vintage enthusiast, the event highlighted decades of fashion and culture through a vibrant display of classic snapbacks, iconic corduroy hats, and more. The diversity of the attendees, ranging from families to seasoned collectors, underscored the event’s inclusive and communal spirit.

The day was filled with excitement and camaraderie as participants traded caps, shared stories, and made new connections. Highlights included rare caps from the 60s to 90s and a particularly valuable cap valued at AED 65,000, which captivated the crowd with its history and worth.

Organizers thanked everyone involved for their contributions to the event’s success and hinted at future gatherings aimed at surpassing this year’s achievements.
