UAE residents urged to avoid random parking during prayer times

Abu Dhabi Police has issued a stern advisory urging residents to refrain from parking their cars haphazardly during prayer times, citing the frequent chaos and traffic jams it causes. The advisory, conveyed through a video message in Arabic, labeled such behavior as “uncivilized.”

This advisory comes in response to a concerning trend observed during prayer times, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan. A Dubai-based insurance company, after studying accident claims from the previous Ramadan, highlighted the heightened risk of accidents between 1pm and 4pm. Wednesdays were identified as the most perilous weekdays, while weekends were deemed comparatively safer for road users.
