The Corrs cancel their September 27 Abu Dhabi concert, refunds on the way

Ticket holders hoping to catch The Corrs in Abu Dhabi next month will instead be getting their money back. The Irish pop-rock group has called off the September 27 date at Etihad Arena, with the band pointing to reasons outside its control.

Word came through the band’s official social media account on August 19, where the group offered an apology to those who had bought tickets. “We’re very sorry to share that, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, our show at Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi on 27th September has been cancelled,” the post read. The band added, “We know many of you were planning to join us and hope to see you again soon. Refunds will be available from the original point of purchase.”

Anyone who purchased tickets can claim a full refund through the vendor where the original transaction was made.

The group stopped short of explaining what prompted the decision, and there is no word on whether the show might be rescheduled.

The Corrs are not the only act to pull a UAE performance in recent days. Christina Aguilera had been booked at the same venue for September 25, just 48 hours ahead of the now-scrapped Corrs date. Ticketmaster reached out to buyers to confirm the American singer’s show was off, telling them refunds would return via whatever method was used to pay. As with The Corrs, organizers gave no explanation for scrapping the Aguilera performance.

Days earlier, the OFFLIMITS Music Festival met the same fate for its 2026 run. That lineup was to be topped by Shakira alongside the Jonas Brothers and others, though the team behind it left the door open to a comeback the following year.
