Star power and a medical mission anchor SILA’s biggest homecoming to date

A reigning international beauty queen and two well-known Filipino singers headline the roster of guests as Saint Ignatius Loyola Academy prepares to welcome back generations of graduates for a three-day reunion its organizers describe as the largest in the school’s history.

Krishnah Gravidez, who took the Miss World Asia 2025 title after finishing in the Top 8 of the global pageant held in India, is set to ride a parade float during the festivities. Handling the musical program on Gala Night are Ayegee Paredes, the third-place finisher of “Tawag ng Tanghalan” Season 4, and Jason Dy, the singer billed as the “Prince of Soul.”

The celebration marks the 77th anniversary of the institution, widely known by the shorthand SILA. Located on Panaon Island, it carries the distinction of being the only private school ever founded there. School Director Dr. Miguel C. Maamo II and Principal Mrs. Carolina T. Saliente oversee an academic program that the school says keeps academic performance and character formation at its center.

Programming stretches across all three days, mixing festival-style events with community outreach. On the schedule are a mardi gras, a beach party, a fashion show, and the Gala Night itself, alongside a large-scale medical mission open to residents.

Graduates — known among their own ranks as Silanians — are being urged to make the trip home for the occasion. The host batches steering the event span the classes of 2002 through 2005.

Backing the reunion are several sponsors, among them Lumiché, Biotech Medical Lab, Noblelife, and IPI.
