The reward for the safe return of Jiku, a two-year-old Maltese missing in Abu Dhabi since July 3, 2026, has been doubled to AED 30,000, as his family widens the appeal more than two months after he disappeared.
Newly circulated flyers, still headed “no questions asked,” raise the sum from the AED 15,000 offered earlier, reflecting mounting urgency in a search that has now run past nine weeks.
Jiku, a white male Maltese, is a rescue dog who went missing near Mushrif Mall in Al Mushrif just two days after the family moved into a new home. When no one saw him for about fifteen minutes on July 3, his owner, Priyanka Tamang, assumed he had wedged himself into a corner — a familiar habit — but he had slipped outside. He is microchipped.
Tamang has searched almost daily in the weeks since, and the effort has grown to include a volunteer group and a flyer campaign across several neighborhoods. Despite dozens of reported sightings, none has led to a reunion. The family describes Jiku as a friendly, gentle dog and says they remain heartbroken by his absence.
