Aryan Surti, a 21-year-old Indian national and scholar of Pinas Cargo, has graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) – Pilani, Dubai Campus.
Aryan earned his scholarship through a raffle organized for the children of Pinas Cargo employees. His father, Mahendra Surti, has served as a Senior Accountant at the company for six years.
The scholarship, which covered his full tuition, was provided by Marlyn Castro, founder and CEO of Pinas Group of Companies. The support allowed Aryan to complete his degree without the financial strain that higher education often places on families.
“Ms. Castro’s generosity became more than financial assistance,” the graduate reflected. “It became a source of motivation throughout my academic journey.”
Castro’s assistance reflects the company’s commitment to helping young people reach their potential regardless of nationality or background. For Aryan, the graduation marks both the fulfillment of a personal goal and, in his words, an example of how a single act of generosity can inspire a lifetime of paying it forward.
