A delivery rider in the Philippines was spotted taking immense pride in his child’s achievements even while on duty.
The photo was shared on Facebook by Mark Palanca, who came across the rider on his way home last Friday afternoon.
“‘Yung pagod ka galing trabaho tas makikita mo ‘to. Nakakaproud maging magulang na lumalaban araw araw,” was Palanca’s caption on the post, describing his emotional state upon seeing the rider.
According to Palanca, he saluted the rider and honked his horn as they crossed paths along Ortigas Avenue in Cainta.
“Sinaluduhan ko siya at binusinahan along Ortigas Avenue Cainta, then nag-abot kame sa trapik sa junction kaya nakakuha ako ng tiyempo na makuhaan siya,” Palanca wrote in the post.
The heartwarming incident drew numerous supportive comments from social media users.
“Kahit sino magulang magiging proud👊❤️ Laban para sa anak👊 Congrats po,” commented one netizen.
Another added, “Congratulations Sir and to your daughter. Lahat ng hirap, pagod, puyat, gutom at marami pang ibang pag titiis nating mga magulang para sa mga anak natin ay naiibsan sa ganitong paraan.”
