President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE surprised worshippers on Sunday evening by joining them for iftar at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque courtyard. The President’s unexpected presence during the sacred Ramadan tradition left the gathered faithful in awe and reverence.
Accompanied by Vice-President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Khaled bin Mohamed Al Nahyan, Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President Sheikh Mohamed actively participated in the iftar meal, sitting among the people and engaging in conversations about their well-being.
The iftar meal, consisting of traditional dishes such as rice with meat, salad, fruit, water, laban, and yogurt, was shared with the congregation as a gesture of solidarity and unity.
Following the iftar, President Sheikh Mohamed greeted worshippers inside the mosque, particularly focusing on engaging with young attendees. Later, he joined Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince and other officials for Maghrib prayers.
