At the 2024 EMIGALA Fashion and Beauty Awards in Dubai, Pia Wurtzbach, actress and Miss Universe 2015 titleholder, added another feather to her cap as she was honored with the prestigious title of “Global Fashion Influencer of the Year.”
Dazzling in a long black dress crafted by renowned Filipino fashion designer Michael Cinco, Wurtzbach graced the award show with her presence, garnering attention both for her style and her inspiring words.
In her acceptance speech, she emphasized the importance of impact and purpose, urging others to find their passion and advocate for causes close to their hearts. “To put purpose in the things that you do,” she stated, “find your passion and find the advocacy that you really care about because this platform that we all have is truly powerful and sometimes we take that for granted.”
Describing Dubai as a place where dreams come true, Wurtzbach reminded the audience of the significance of giving back, emphasizing that “the work continues.”
The EMIGALA Fashion and Beauty Awards, which has been recognizing talents and personalities in the beauty and fashion industry for over four years, honored Wurtzbach amidst a gathering of Arab and International luminaries.
This isn’t Wurtzbach’s first accolade in Dubai; she had previously been awarded the Woman of the Year title by luxury travel magazine Xpedition in 2020. Following her wedding with businessman Jeremy Jauncey in March last year, the Pinay beauty queen relocated to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where she continues to make waves in the global fashion scene.
