PH consulate, MWO-Dubai to close on May 1; emergency hotlines available

Filipino nationals in Dubai with urgent concerns on May 1 will need to rely on emergency contact lines as both the Philippine Consulate General and the Migrant Workers Office (MWO-Dubai) suspend public operations in observance of Labor Day.

The Consulate General can be reached for passport, notarial, and civil registry emergencies at +971 4 220 7800, while non-OFW nationals requiring assistance may call +971 56 501 5756.

OFWs in need of emergency support may contact the MWO-Dubai Assistance to Nationals (ATN) section at 056-353-5558, 054-223-0822, or 056-153-3057, or by email at atn.mwodubai@dmw.gov.ph. The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA-Dubai) is also reachable that day at 050-558-5536 or at dubai@owwa.gov.ph.

Balik-Manggagawa OFWs who need employment contract verification before their departure have several options available ahead of the closure. Walk-in processing at MWO-Dubai is available on April 29 or 30 for those with flights scheduled between April 30 and May 4. Contracts may also be verified online through dmw.dataflowgroup.com, or via a VFS Global appointment at services.vfsglobal.com/are/en/ofw.

For other MWO-Dubai services, the Accreditation, Job Order, and Hiring from the Philippines section and the Individual Contract Verification (Balik-Manggagawa)/OEC section both operate under the hotline 050-652-6626. The SSS desk is at 050-212-3426 (dubai@sss.gov.ph), and Pag-IBIG inquiries may be directed to 050-728-5143 or popdubai@pagibigfund.gov.ph.
