The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration is convening more than 70 exhibitors and over 15 government agencies in Pasay City this weekend for what it bills as the first OFW Kabuhayan Expo, a one-day gathering built around helping migrant workers and their households plan life after a contract abroad.
Admission is free and open to all. The fair takes place on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the SMX Convention Center Manila inside the Mall of Asia Complex. OWWA is running it under its Alagang OWWA program, organized around three themes: kalinga, kaalaman, and kabuhayan.
The floor plan reflects the scale OWWA is promising. Organizers have lined up 72 booth spaces filling out a roster that includes over 15 government agencies and reintegration partners, 20 private sector and industry partners, 10 franchise brands, and more than 70 exhibitors and service providers.
Enterprise and financing form a large share of the program. Visitors can explore business, franchising, and advisory services delivered with the Philippine Franchise Association and other private partners, and tap financial offerings spanning savings, investments, insurance, housing, and financing through institutions such as BDO, LandBank, OFBank, and DTI-Small Business Corporation. A franchise showcase will run alongside the exhibitor displays.
Training is a headline element rather than a side offering. OWWA and TESDA are set to sign a memorandum of agreement at the event to widen upskilling and training access for workers and their families, and the program separately features free training, entrepreneurship sessions, financial literacy, and skills development, along with scholarship, education, and certification opportunities.
Government transactions OFWs often defer while overseas are being consolidated under one roof, with OWWA membership processing plus e-Card registration and activation handled on-site. Health services are also part of the day, including free medical consultations, check-ups, wellness services, and access to medicine through health partners.
The expo dedicates space to workers already mapping their return, with reintegration and livelihood programs aimed at those preparing for a fresh start in the Philippines. Success stories from OFW beneficiaries and entrepreneurs are slated to be shared as part of that thread.
