The Office of the Vice President (OVP) has disclosed its travel expenses for 2025, amounting to more than ₱20.6 million as of July 31. The budget covers both international and domestic trips, with the latter making up the bigger portion of the spending.
Based on the report, ₱7.47 million was used for international travel, all of which went to security and OVP personnel. Notably, no public funds were spent on overseas trips by Vice President Sara Duterte herself.
For domestic travel, the OVP recorded ₱13.2 million in expenses. This included over ₱3.1 million for Vice Presidential Security and engagements, and more than ₱10 million for other OVP personnel from central and satellite offices involved in implementing programs, projects, and activities nationwide.
The OVP explained that these expenses reflect travel requirements tied to its programs and community visits, stressing transparency in the allocation and utilization of its ₱62.5 million travel budget for the year.
