OFWs have until July 15 to sign up for free AI courses from DMW

Overseas Filipino workers have until July 15, 2026 to sign up for a government-run training program in artificial intelligence, the Department of Migrant Workers said in an announcement posted on its official Facebook page.

Slots are capped. The agency did not say how many are available, describing them only as limited, and directed applicants to register at kaalaman.dmw.gov.ph.

Three requirements govern who may apply. Workers must be at least 18 years old, must have finished high school, and must already possess basic computer skills.

The department framed the courses as preparation for a labor market being reshaped by technology, saying the training would help OFWs build new digital skills and position themselves for wider work and livelihood opportunities. Course completion carries certification, according to the announcement, though the department did not specify the issuing body or the certificate’s scope.

The program appears on the agency’s material under the name Kaalaman 2 Kabuhayan, rendered on the poster alongside the description “Certified AI Courses for OFWs.”

Handling of the initiative falls to the National Reintegration Center for OFWs, which the department listed as the contact point for inquiries at nrco@dmw.gov.ph.
