In response to the recent extreme weather conditions that battered parts of Sharjah, the Sharjah City Municipality announced on Thursday that parking fines will not be issued in affected areas until they return to normalcy. This decision comes following the unprecedented rainfall that hit the UAE on April 16, described as the heaviest in 75 years.
The municipality confirmed that no parking violations were issued during the record rains, and this waiver extends to various infractions, including non-payment of parking fees, reserving multiple parking slots, and parking in reserved spots.
This move follows the cancellation of all penalties for traffic violations during the storm, as announced earlier by the Sharjah Police. The decision aims to bring relief to residents affected by the recent adverse weather conditions.
