Nearly 200 Filipinos graduate at Bath Spa University RAK’s 7th commencement in Dubai

Bath Spa University Academic Centre RAK celebrated its 7th Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2025 at the Grand Hyatt Dubai Conference & Exhibition Centre, awarding degrees to 358 students across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Among the graduates, 197 were Filipinos, a significant milestone that highlighted the vibrant role of the Filipino community in the UAE’s academic and cultural landscape. The class valedictorian was also a Filipino, underscoring the community’s academic excellence and leadership.

Graduates were honored for their achievements in academics, leadership, and extracurricular contributions. Degrees conferred included MBA Leadership, MA Business & Management, MSc Cyber Security, BA (Hons) Business & Management, BSc (Hons) Creative Computing, BSc (Hons) Psychology, and BSc (Hons) Cyber Security.

The ceremony was marked by notable guests and messages of support from dignitaries:

H.E. Alfonso Ferdinand A. Ver, Philippine Ambassador to the UAE

H.E. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan Ambassador to the UAE

H.E. Alberto Leonardo Cuvelo, Mozambique Ambassador to the UAE

Commencement Speaker Professor Georgina Andrews, Vice-Chancellor of Bath Spa University, UK, delivered an inspiring message to the graduates.

Adding prestige to the occasion, H.E. Dr. Sheikh Majid Bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Bath Spa University Academic Centre RAK and President of the Ruler’s Court of Ajman, personally graced the ceremony and, alongside Professor Andrews, conferred the degrees.
