Dubai’s Civil Defence successfully contained a fire involving a fuel tanker in Al Satwa on Friday, with no injuries reported. The blaze, which occurred near Lulu Residence, was reported at 5:26 pm, and the Al Etihad Fire Station responded within five minutes.
According to a Khaleej Times report, firefighters brought the situation under control by 5:54 pm, and cooling operations followed. By 6:23 pm, the site was handed over to relevant authorities.
Thick plumes of black smoke were visible across several parts of Dubai, including Downtown, Jumeirah, and Ras Al Khor, with residents sharing images online. Local resident A.K. recounted that the fire initially seemed under control, but black smoke briefly reappeared before fully dissipating.
