Filipino pop artist Jake Zyrus is making his much-anticipated return to music with a new album titled Roots, set for release in November 2025.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Zyrus unveiled the album’s tracklist, which revisits several of his well-loved classics—songs that once defined his powerful voice and emotional storytelling. The singer hinted at a more intimate take on familiar melodies, writing, “same songs, different heart. Roots. This November.”
The upcoming project marks Zyrus’s first major release since stepping away from the spotlight for a time to focus on personal growth and healing. It follows renewed public attention earlier this year, when excerpts from his 2018 memoir I Am Jake resurfaced, sparking widespread discussion about his journey, family challenges, and early struggles in the entertainment industry.
In recent months, Zyrus has also re-emerged on social media, posting music covers and embracing what he fondly calls his “teddy bear” look—signaling confidence and authenticity in his new era. He has been active in live performances in the United States, including a duet with singer Cheesa at the Festival of Pilipino Arts & Culture, and the two have been publicly in a relationship since June 2024.
