In a video posted on September 7, 2024, Marcos is seen performing the trend, which features the viral portion of Sarah Geronimo’s version of the song, specifically the bridge: “She’s smilin’ like she used to smile way back then…”
The dance, known for its signature “kaldag” move, has been making waves online, with various personalities participating. As of this posting, Marcos’ video has garnered nearly 5,000 likes and 500 shares. Other celebrities who joined the trend include Andrea Brillantes, Stell Ajero of SB19, and YouTubers Cong TV and Viy Cortez.
“Maybe This Time,” originally performed by Michael Martin Murphey, was re-recorded by Geronimo for her 2014 film of the same title, co-starring Coco Martin.
