Unemployment insurance is a critical safety net for workers in the UAE, providing financial support in case of involuntary job loss. If you’re an early subscriber to the Involuntary Loss of Employment (ILOE) scheme, here’s how you can renew your policy:
Watch for the Renewal Notification: If you selected an annual payment plan, you’ll receive a renewal reminder from Dubai Insurance via text message. This is your cue to start the renewal process.
Visit the ILOE Website: Head over to iloe.ae. On the homepage, click on the ‘Subscribe/Renew here’ option. This will take you to the renewal section.
Identify Your Sector: In the renewal section, you’ll be prompted to select your employment sector. Options include private sector, federal government, or a category for those unregistered under MOHRE.
Enter Your Details: Provide your Emirates ID and mobile number. You’ll receive a One-Time Password (OTP) via SMS. Enter this OTP on the website and submit.
Access Your Dashboard: After submitting the OTP, you’ll be directed to your personal dashboard on the ILOE website. Here, you can review your policy details, including the expiration date and last payment.
Initiate Renewal: On your dashboard, you’ll find the option to renew your policy. Select this and click on the ‘Pay Now’ button to proceed.
Complete the Payment: You’ll be redirected to a payment portal where you need to enter your credit or debit card information. After making the payment, you’ll be taken back to the ILOE site, and a confirmation message will verify the successful renewal of your policy.
Renewing your unemployment insurance is a simple and essential step to maintain your financial safety net in the UAE. Keep an eye on your policy’s expiration date and follow these steps to ensure continuous coverage.
