‘House of the Dragon’ season two debuts June 17 on OSN+

The highly anticipated second season of the HBO original drama series “House of the Dragon” will premiere on June 17, exclusively on OSN+ and OSNtv across the MENA region. The announcement was made at Series Mania in Lille, France, by Francesca Orsi, Executive Vice President of HBO Programming and Head of HBO Drama Series & Films. This season introduces HBO’s innovative “Dueling” trailers, showcasing the escalating tension in Westeros as it teeters on the edge of a brutal civil war. The conflict pits the Green and Black Councils against each other, supporting King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra, respectively.

“House of the Dragon,” a prequel set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones,” explores the saga of House Targaryen, based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood.” The upcoming season, comprising eight episodes, will delve deeper into the fracturing realm as viewers are invited to choose sides in the Targaryen civil war.

The returning cast includes Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, and others, with new faces such as Abubakar Salim and Freddie Fox joining the ensemble. The series is co-created by George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal, with Condal serving as showrunner alongside a team of executive producers. Fans across the Middle East and North Africa can look forward to a season filled with political intrigue, dramatic battles, and the legendary fire-breathing dragons that have captivated audiences worldwide.
