A summer stopover in Dubai now comes with the option of a free room at one of the city’s tallest hotels, after Emirates opened a seasonal promotion that hands eligible return-ticket holders one or two complimentary nights at the JW Marriott Marquis.
The number of free nights depends on the cabin. Travellers flying First Class or Business Class on return tickets qualify for two nights, while Premium Economy and Economy passengers are entitled to a single night. To claim the room, a ticket must be booked between June 22 and July 12, with the actual journey falling between June 25 and September 30.
Eligibility hinges on how the trip is structured. The offer covers passengers whose final stop is Dubai, as well as those passing through, provided the layover in the city runs longer than 24 hours. The airline is pitching the deal as a way to stretch a transit window into a proper visit, or to lengthen a holiday already underway.
“Whether visitors are seeking relaxation, adventure, entertainment or a combination of all three, Dubai is the ideal start to any summer vacation,” said Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates. He continued: “We’re inviting passengers to enjoy even more of the city with a complimentary hotel stay to take advantage of the exceptional range of shopping, entertainment, dining and family-friendly experiences that define the Dubai summer experience, when stopping over as part of your journey or visiting Dubai as your final destination.”
Sitting in central Dubai, the JW Marriott Marquis offers guests a spread of dining options, a spa, gym facilities and an outdoor pool that looks out over the skyline.
The hotel stay sits alongside the return of My Emirates Pass for the 2026 season, which unlocks more than 600 discounts at restaurants, spas, retailers and attractions taking part. Redeeming them is straightforward: passengers present either a printed or digital boarding pass with valid identification at any participating venue.
For those wanting to plan the time between flights, Emirates points to its Dubai Experience platform, available in certain markets, which builds tailored stopover plans down to 24-hour and 48-hour itineraries.
The promotion lands during a busy stretch for the city. Dubai Summer Surprises 2026 runs from July 2 to August 30, bringing concerts, cultural programming, wellness activities and retail offers to venues across the emirate.
The push comes as Emirates layers on flexibility for summer bookings. Anyone purchasing tickets after April 2, 2026 receives one free date change regardless of cabin, and the carrier’s Hold My Fare service lets travellers lock in a price while the rest of their plans come together. The airline, which flies to more than 138 destinations, has been stacking up incentives to revive demand softened by the recent US-Israel-Iran conflict — among them a Comprehensive Travel Cover insurance product introduced last week in selected markets to cushion passengers against unexpected disruptions.
