Filipino job seekers in the UAE walked away with hands-on culinary training and interview practice during Dubayans’ 17th anniversary celebration, held Saturday, 27 June 2026 at Park Regis Hotel, an event the community organization built around employment readiness rather than ceremony.

At the center of the program was an Exclusive Culinary Experience led by Celebrity Chef Earl Roland C. Puse, joined by Chef Joyel Candido Quisido Butardo of Chef Earl’s Culinary Team. Participants ranging from aspiring chefs to home cooks and working hospitality professionals were taught practical techniques, professional kitchen standards, and food preparation methods aimed at making them more competitive for food service roles across the Emirates.
A separate Interview Mock Up Session put attendees through simulated job interviews. There, they fielded common interview questions, received feedback from professionals, and learned what recruiters weigh during hiring decisions. The pairing of technical instruction and interview coaching was meant to give applicants both a skill set and the confidence to use it in a crowded job market.
Dubayans framed the activities as an extension of a mission it has held since its founding: helping Filipinos in the UAE through skills and opportunity. The organization noted that its programs run on volunteer labor and the personal resources of community leaders, with no fees or expectations attached.

“Our anniversary is not just about looking back at how far we’ve come,” Clingy Admin shared. “It is about making sure that every year, more Filipinos become more skilled, more confident, and better prepared to achieve their career goals.”
The group thanked the participating chefs along with the volunteers, speakers, and partners who contributed their expertise.
Dubayans said additional upskilling programs are already in the pipeline, including CV writing workshops, LinkedIn optimization, leadership training, HR administration sessions, UAE Labour Law seminars, and industry-specific skills courses planned for Filipinos throughout the country.
