Filipinos in UAE told situation remains safe as embassy and consulate keep all services running

Filipino nationals across the United Arab Emirates are being reminded to stay calm and follow official guidance as the Philippine Embassy, Consulate, and Migrant Workers Office (MWO) issued an updated advisory amid the ongoing regional conflict.

No alert level has been declared for Filipinos in the UAE, with authorities describing the situation as safe and stable for the community.

In line with the UAE government’s shelter-in-place directive, Filipinos are advised to remain indoors or seek shelter in enclosed areas when outside, keeping away from open spaces. Mobile phone alerts issued by UAE authorities should be heeded as they come, officials said.

The Philippine offices urged the community to rely solely on verified announcements from UAE authorities and from the Embassy, Consulate, and MWO, cautioning against unverified information circulating online.

All public services remain fully operational across Philippine offices in the country. Consular transactions — including passport processing, notarization, and the filing of Reports of Birth and Marriage — are being carried out as usual, alongside Assistance-to-Nationals services, contract verification, and other regular offerings for both OFWs and non-OFWs alike.

However, some delays in receiving certain outputs — such as passport pickup — are possible due to current airspace restrictions affecting the UAE.
