The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation has placed Edgardo Feralin Dormido, Jr., a former Filipino caregiver accused of molesting children in California, among its most wanted fugitives under the category of crimes against children.
The FBI shared two wanted posters for Dormido, in English and Tagalog, across its Facebook and Instagram accounts on July 14, 2026, according to BusinessMirror. The bureau warns that Dormido should be considered dangerous and may be traveling under false identities.
Dormido, now 51, was charged in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles on October 9, 2015, with five felony counts. These include two counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10 years old or younger, one count of forcible lewd act upon a child, and two counts of lewd act upon a child. The alleged offenses occurred in Manhattan Beach, California, where he worked as a caregiver.
Federal authorities say Dormido fled the state on July 13, 2015, boarding a flight from Los Angeles International Airport to Taipei, Taiwan, before continuing to Manila. On June 22, 2022, he was charged federally with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution by the U.S. District Court, Central District of California, and a federal warrant was issued for his arrest.
The FBI believes Dormido is currently residing in the Philippines, though he may still have family members in the Los Angeles area. Digicast Negros reported that he is believed to be from Bago City, Negros Occidental.
Dormido is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was born on May 18, 1974.
Anyone with information on Dormido’s whereabouts is urged to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI, submit tips online at tips.fbi.gov, or reach any FBI field office or U.S. Embassy or consulate. A monetary reward may be available.
