A 60-year-old employee of Wells Fargo, identified as Denise Prudhomme, was found dead at her desk four days after she last clocked in for work. According to ABC News, she entered the building on August 16 and her body was discovered on August 20.
Prudhomme’s desk was located in a less-populated section of the office, which contributed to the delay in discovering her. The cause of death has not yet been determined, but authorities reported that there were no immediate signs of foul play.
Wells Fargo expressed their condolences in a statement, saying, “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones, and we are in contact to ensure they are well supported during this difficult time.” The company also stated that counseling services would be available for employees affected by the incident, emphasizing their commitment to the safety and well-being of their staff.
