Dubai’s leading carrier, Emirates, is set to further expand its already diverse cabin crew team, which recently surpassed a milestone of 20,000 members from 200 different nationalities. This move is in line with the airline’s aggressive expansion plans, prompted by a resurgence in the travel and tourism sector.Salary and Perks The selected candidates will be offered a monthly base salary of Dh4,430 and an hourly flying pay of Dh63.75, bringing the average total monthly compensation to Dh10,170. Additionally, the airline provides its staff with a plethora of benefits, including tax-free earnings, profit-sharing eligibility, hotel accommodations during layovers, concessional travel perks, medical and dental insurance, and discounts on tickets for friends and family, among other advantages.
Eligibility Criteria Aspiring cabin crew members should:
- Be fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages as a plus.
- Stand at a minimum height of 160cm, with a reach of 212cm.
- Have at least one year of experience in hospitality or customer service.
- Possess a minimum of high school education.
- Comply with the UAE’s visa employment prerequisites.
- Have no visible tattoos when dressed in uniform.
Upcoming Recruitment Days Emirates has scheduled recruitment days in numerous cities across Europe, Asia, and the Americas throughout August and September. Some of these cities include Zurich, Vienna, Vancouver, London, Milan, and many more. The airline reported a significant 23% growth in its workforce in the 2022-23 financial year, boasting a global strength of 56,379 employees. This growth was propelled by the airline’s commendable performance, which led to awarding staff with pay raises and bonuses after achieving record profits.
In its quest to diversify the cabin crew, Emirates has since 2022, conducted recruitment events in 340 cities worldwide, emphasizing its commitment to global representation.
Highlighting the airline’s exceptional employee loyalty, over 4,000 crew members have served between 5-9 years; around 3,000 have served for 10-14 years, and a remarkable 400 have dedicated over 20 years of service to the company. Notably, three individuals have been with the airline for an astonishing 30 years or more.
