Motorists in Dubai can now lean on installment arrangements and digital platforms to keep traffic penalties from piling up, a message Dubai Police delivered directly to workers during a recent awareness session.
The training brought together upwards of 70 staff members from the Department of Economy and Tourism, organized by the General Department of Traffic. Sessions walked attendees through fine settlement methods, digital service access, and everyday road rules, with additional attention given to how bicycles and e-scooters should be operated.
Colonel Talal Abdullah Al Mansouri, who directs the Traffic Education Department, ran the workshop and drew attention to risky habits behind the wheel and what they mean for everyone sharing the road. He laid out the various ways penalties can be cleared, pointing to the Dubai Police smart app, its website, self-service kiosks, and Smart Police Stations. According to him, those options stay open at all hours and keep transactions protected.
Officials made a point of stressing why drivers should not let penalties sit unresolved. Leaving fines unpaid, they cautioned, can pull motorists into steeper costs and further legal steps down the line. To ease that burden, attendees learned about staggered payment schemes and digital tools built to give drivers room to manage what they owe.
Brigadier Issam Ibrahim Al Awar, Acting Director of the General Department of Traffic, framed the event as one piece of a broader push to raise traffic awareness across every segment of the community. Teaching people about the rules, the procedures, and the smart tools available, he noted, can smooth out the customer experience while nudging drivers toward compliance and cutting down on violations and collisions.
The two-wheeler portion of the session covered which routes riders should stick to, the regulations that apply to them, and why protective gear matters. Meeting those standards, officials said, shields riders as well as the people around them.
Participants were also walked through Aman Roads, an integrated safety platform run by Dubai Police that carries refreshed guidance, learning resources, campaigns, and details on various safety programs, all geared toward steering residents toward habits that head off crashes. The floor drew lively back-and-forth, with attendees pressing for details on penalties, digital tools, and how the platform works, which Dubai Police read as a sign of rising public appetite for safer, more responsible travel.
