Dubai introduces special passport stamp for Ramadan visitors

Dubai is rolling out the red carpet for visitors arriving during the holy month of Ramadan. The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has unveiled two special initiatives to enhance visitors’ experiences as part of the #RamadanInDubai campaign.

Upon arrival at the city’s air and land ports, immigration officers are stamping visitors’ passports with a distinctive #RamadanInDubai logo, symbolizing the warm embrace of the city during this sacred time.

In addition to the special stamp, visitors are receiving complimentary SIM cards courtesy of Du Telecom, ensuring seamless communication throughout their stay. They’re also being handed QR codes granting access to Brand Dubai’s ‘#DubaiDestinations’ guide titled ‘Ramadan Events in Dubai’, offering a plethora of activities and attractions tailored for the holy month.

Lt. General Mohammed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA in Dubai, emphasized that these initiatives aim to create memorable experiences and extend heartfelt hospitality to visitors. They not only bolster Dubai’s position as a premier global tourism hub but also embody the city’s commitment to providing exceptional services that reflect its unique identity.

The ‘#RamadanInDubai’ campaign, orchestrated by Brand Dubai in collaboration with over 20 entities across the city, aims to showcase Dubai’s festive spirit during Ramadan. It aims to foster a sense of shared celebration while highlighting the city’s rich customs and authentic traditions.
