Dubai Chambers eyes AI and digital economy deals after high-level Manila meetings

A senior delegation from Dubai Chambers has wrapped up a series of bilateral meetings in Manila, engaging both government-aligned business groups and private sector leaders in talks centered on expanding economic cooperation between Dubai and the Philippines.

Leading the delegation, Dubai Chambers President and CEO H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah sat down with Donald Lim, President of the Management Association of the Philippines, where discussions ranged across potential business partnerships and areas for deeper sectoral cooperation.

Separately, Lootah met with Ferdinand A. Ferrer, President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with both sides exploring collaboration across emerging industries including artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and smart cities.

The delegation also engaged directly with prominent Filipino companies during the visit, presenting Dubai’s value proposition as an investment destination — particularly in real estate, retail, and the digital economy.

Lootah framed the Manila engagements as part of a broader shared agenda. “We are keen to deepen engagement between the business communities in Dubai and the Philippines and explore new opportunities for cooperation across priority sectors,” he said. “Our discussions in Manila reflected a shared commitment to advancing collaboration and creating stronger links between leading institutions and the private sector that support sustainable growth in both markets.”

The Manila visit is part of Dubai Chambers’ wider push to build active engagement channels with markets it considers strategically significant, with cross-border private sector partnerships a central focus of that outreach.
