Vevherly Gador, a 36-year-old single mother from Cebu, is set to represent the Philippines in the Mrs. Universe 2024 pageant in South Korea this October. Gador earned the title of Mrs. Universe Philippines 2024 after triumphing over 11 candidates during the competition held at Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City.
Despite the long journey from Dubai to the Philippines, Gador expressed that the trip was well worth it. “Winning the crown made all the sacrifices worthwhile,” she said, adding that her victory was even more special as it came just a day after her birthday.
Along with the prestigious title, Gador also took home awards for Best in Evening Gown, Mrs. Photogenic, and People’s Choice. Reflecting on her win, Gador admitted that the competition was fierce. “It was a tough battle, and I was just praying when it came down to me and Mrs. Pangasinan.”
A former contestant on Survivor Philippines and now based in Dubai, Gador is excited about her upcoming challenge on the international stage. “I am honored to represent the Philippines, and I hope to make my country proud,” she said.
