Free lunches will be available three days a week at a Dubai cafeteria starting April 13, as a Filipino business council rolls out a structured meal relief effort for community members affected by the ongoing regional conflict.
The Philippine Business Council – Dubai and Northern Emirates (PBC-DNE) has organized the initiative, branded “Bayanihan Meal Days,” in partnership with its League of Food and Beverage Entrepreneurs (LFBE) subcommittee. Bibingka and Paratha Cafeteria is the participating restaurant hosting the program.
Meals will be served every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between noon and 2:00 PM. Interested Filipinos must register in advance by scanning a QR code to secure a claim code, which is required to receive a meal.

While PBC-DNE members and their staff are given first priority, organizers said the program extends to other kababayans in need, subject to available slots.
The council described the effort as an expression of bayanihan — the Filipino value of communal solidarity — framed as a direct response to hardships arising from tensions across the Middle East.

PBC-DNE holds the distinction of being the only Filipino organization formally recognized by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
