Dubai International (DXB), the world’s leading airport for international passenger traffic, is preparing for a significant influx of visitors, with an estimated 3.6 million guests expected between 2-15 April. This surge coincides with the Eid Al-Fitr holiday and spring break, making it a particularly busy period for the airport. Daily traffic during these weeks is anticipated to average more than 258,000 guests, peaking on Saturday, 13 April, when numbers are forecasted to reach 292,000.
The airport and its partners, including airlines, service, and commercial entities, are committed to providing a memorable experience for all visitors. This commitment extends to those returning home for the holidays, guests arriving to participate in the celebrations, or travelers transiting through Dubai.
To help manage the expected rush, DXB has offered several tips for travelers:
Emirates passengers are encouraged to use the airline’s home, early, and self-check-in options.
flydubai travelers should arrive at least four hours before their flight.
Those flying with other airlines are advised to arrive no more than three hours before departure and use online check-in when possible.
Families with children over 12 are recommended to use Smart Gates for faster passport control.
All travelers should stay updated on travel regulations, pre-weigh luggage, organize documents early, and be prepared for security checks to ensure a smooth journey.
Farewells should be made at home to avoid congestion inside the terminals, and the Dubai Metro is suggested as a convenient transport option to and from the airport.
