Actress Dimples Romana debunked swirling speculations regarding the marital status of her close friend, Angel Locsin, and husband Neil Arce. Romana confirmed in an ABS-CBN News report that the couple is still happily together, dismissing rumors of a breakup.
“I get to see her naman, she’s very, very happy and happily married, and Neil is taking very good care of her,” Romana assured, putting an end to the rumors.
Reflecting on the influence of social media on relationships, Romana emphasized the need to not jump to conclusions based solely on online activity. “The thing is, people are so involved with social media that we think if we don’t see married people posting online together, parang hiwalay na sila! No po! Hindi ibig sabihin wala sa social media, doesn’t mean it’s not happening,” she explained.
She further stressed the importance of disconnecting from social media occasionally, highlighting its potential negative impact on mental health. “Sometimes a little off of social media can do you good. Kadalasan sa social media pa galing ‘yung frustrations mo, yung comparison mo with the life of others, and when you pause a little bit and know that not everything on social media can be helpful to you, you’ll be able to recognize that you too can have a happy life like Neil and Angel, na halos offline sila but they’re very, very happy.”
Addressing queries about Locsin’s possible comeback to acting following a hiatus, Romana expressed anticipation among fans. “I can only wish that Angel will return because she’s super much-awaited all the time. I know that the boss and being off-line and missing an act on social media has done very well,” she said.
