Filipino businessman and sports enthusiast Manny V. Pangilinan has awarded a generous ₱10 million to Carlos Yulo, who recently clinched two gold medals in gymnastics at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Alongside Yulo, bronze medalists Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas will each receive ₱2 million from Pangilinan.
Yulo’s coaching team is also set to benefit, with ₱5 million being allocated to them, while the boxing coaches are to receive ₱2 million. In addition, Pangilinan committed to continuing his support for the athletes as they prepare for the upcoming 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, expressing his unwavering dedication with the words, “Like always, they can count on our continued support until LA 2028. Mabuhay ang atletang Pinoy!”
This substantial contribution adds to the multitude of rewards and incentives Yulo has already received, which have now surpassed ₱100 million, cementing his status as one of the Philippines’ most celebrated athletes.
