Renowned Rhode Island traffic judge and TV personality Frank Caprio has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, as revealed in a heartfelt video. Caprio, 87, famed for his empathetic approach in the courtroom and his role in the reality TV show “Caught in Providence,” disclosed his condition following a medical examination around his birthday in November.
In the video, Caprio stated, “I have been diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas, which is an insidious form of cancer.” He expressed gratitude for the medical treatment he has been receiving from a team of doctors in Rhode Island and at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. “I pray that God guides their thoughts and their hands in their treatment of me,” he added.
Having served as the chief judge of Providence’s municipal court until his retirement this year, Caprio is no stranger to challenges. He expressed his readiness to fight against the disease, acknowledging the long road ahead but resolved to give his all.
In a moving request, Caprio asked his fans and supporters for prayers during his treatment. “I ask each of you, in your own way, to please pray for me,” he said, emphasizing his belief in the power of prayer alongside medical treatment.
