Some of Asia’s most accomplished songwriters and hitmakers will converge in the Philippines this October for the FILSCAP Asia Songwriting Master Camp 2026, a four-day cross-border collaboration that positions the country as the region’s creative meeting point.
Running October 4 to 7, the camp gathers songwriters from ten Asian markets: India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Each represents their respective music industry, coming together in a single songwriting room to trade ideas, draw from different musical influences, and create new original songs across cultures and borders.
Organized by the Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (FILSCAP), the initiative goes beyond the format of a traditional workshop. Rather than a lecture-driven program, the Master Camp is built around genuine cross-border collaboration among established creators, with the Philippines serving as host and host culture alike.
The creative work will culminate in Showcase Night on October 7, when the songs written during the camp are performed live for the first time.
The Master Camp caps a busy year for FILSCAP, which has spotlighted songwriters through initiatives such as its Master Lecture Series and Songwriter’s Night Select, both staged earlier in 2026. Accredited by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines and protecting the rights of Filipino songwriters, composers, and publishers since 1965, the organization continues to push its “#iValueMusic” advocacy of recognizing the creators behind the music.
