Efforts to locate Cuddles, a beloved three-year-old cockapoo who disappeared in Al Garhoud, Dubai, have come to a heartbreaking conclusion. Despite extensive measures taken by the family, including the distribution of flyers and the offer of a substantial AED100,000 reward, their search has yielded no success. Devastating news has surfaced, suggesting that Cuddles may have been fatally struck by a speeding vehicle.
Yesterday, February 6, 2024, the family received a photograph of a deceased dog, believed to be Cuddles, prompting them to confront the grim possibility of his demise.
The once hopeful search has now turned into a process of grieving for the family, who had clung to the hope of Cuddles’ safe return.
“We are shattered and struggling to come to terms with this heart-wrenching news,” a spokesperson for the family was quyoted as saying by Khaleej Times.
“It appears that Cuddles was involved in an accident, likely hit by a car late Saturday night or early Sunday morning. The location of the accident aligns with where Cuddles went missing. The provided image is unmistakably him. It was sent to us by the person who discovered and laid him to rest. At this point, we must find solace and extend our gratitude to all those who supported us during the search.”
The family holds a pet relocation company accountable for negligence in the transportation of Cuddles for a health inspection. They claim that the company’s oversight led to Cuddles escaping from their care.
