Taylor Swift wins fourth Grammy award for album of the year

Taylor Swift clinched her fourth Grammy Award for Album of the Year during Sunday’s ceremony on February 4th. With this win, Swift now holds the distinction of being the only artist to secure the top music industry prize four times over her illustrious career.

The Grammy honors came her way for her pop album, “Midnights,” in a ceremony that prominently featured female musicians. Billie Eilish also had a momentous night, claiming the Song of the Year award for her ballad “What Was I Made For?” which was written for the Barbie movie soundtrack. Miley Cyrus landed the Record of the Year honor with her empowering anthem, “Flowers.”

Best New Artist was awarded to the talented R&B and pop singer, Victoria Monet, highlighting the rising stars in the music industry.

These winners were selected by a panel of musicians, producers, engineers, and other industry professionals who form the Recording Academy. In recent years, the Recording Academy has made efforts to diversify its membership by extending invitations to more women and people of color, demonstrating a commitment to inclusivity in the music world.
