UAE ranks fourth among top tax-free expat destinations for 2024

The UAE has been named the fourth-best tax-free country for expatriates looking to relocate in 2024. This ranking comes from a recent study by William Russell, a prominent expat insurance provider. The UAE, with an average monthly cost of Dh3,590 and a net monthly salary of Dh13,015, outperforms other zero-tax nations.

Oman leads the list as the most affordable tax-free haven for expats, noted for its minimal living costs and low utility bills. It’s followed by Kuwait and Bahrain, taking the second and third spots respectively.

The UAE’s allure extends beyond its tax-free status. PNC Menon, chairman of Sobha Group, highlights the nation’s superb infrastructure, modern lifestyle, and safety, making cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi global magnets for investors and expats.

The report, considering factors like flight costs, rent, and utility bills, positions the UAE ahead of other renowned destinations like Brunei, the Maldives, Qatar, and Monaco. With a relocation score of 5.84/10, the UAE promises affordable living with a significant average monthly net salary of $3,474.

Oman, topping the list, offers the cheapest living costs, including rent and utilities, with an average monthly net salary of $2,205. Kuwait and Bahrain follow, offering their own sets of financial advantages for expats, including competitive monthly costs and attractive net salaries.
