UAE hospital to provide lifesaving heart surgeries to children with congenital heart diseases

The UAE-based healthcare pioneer, Dr Shamsheer Vayalil, has announced the provision of 50 free heart surgeries for children with congenital heart diseases. This initiative is a part of a tribute to Dr Shamsheer’s father-in-law, the billionaire businessman Yusuffali M.A., marking his 50 years in the UAE.

Yusuffali, renowned for his role as the chairman and managing director of Lulu Group International, first arrived in the UAE on December 31, 1973. The ‘Golden Heart’ initiative, as it is named, is inspired by Yusuffali’s significant impact and long-standing commitment to philanthropy in the region.

Parents of children who need these life-saving surgeries are invited to apply. Dr Shamsheer’s VPS Healthcare, the group spearheading the initiative, has opened applications. Essential documentation, including the child’s medical report and contact details, should be sent to hope@vpshealth.com.

These surgeries will be carried out in specialized hospitals under Burjeel Holdings, which operates in the UAE, Oman, and also includes Dr Shamsheer’s hospitals in India. The initiative focuses on helping children from conflict zones and underprivileged backgrounds, recognizing the financial burden that congenital heart diseases can impose on families.
