Ambitions that rise to the level of the nation framed the message His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum delivered to government teams as he opened his annual “New Government Season Meeting 2026-2027.” The Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai used the gathering to set out where government work is headed and which projects will define the phase ahead.
“With the start of every government season, I begin my work by meeting my team. We set out on a new season, carrying renewed energy, strong resolve and ambitions that match our country,” Sheikh Mohammed said. His standing charge to those around him, he added, has not shifted: “My message to my team has always been the same. I want the UAE government to be the best government in the world.”
Present for the session were Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai. Mohammad Bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, joined alongside a range of ministers and senior officials.
Looking to the season now beginning, Sheikh Mohammed instructed his teams to intensify their work, move faster on delivering projects and priorities, and knit closer collaboration between entities. He pressed them to keep shaping ways of working that are leaner, quicker and oriented toward the future, judged by concrete outcomes and real benefit to the community.
Much of the agenda weighed how to sharpen the federal government’s operating system, tighten coordination among agencies, and channel investment into homegrown talent and new technologies, all in service of the country’s competitiveness and its front-rank standing in the field of government practice.
The talks also surveyed the developmental, social and economic priorities, initiatives and projects on the horizon, together with measures to quicken delivery and ready government bodies to absorb change and press national projects forward.
In reflecting on the period just closed, Sheikh Mohammed praised what his team had delivered, crediting that work with lifting the efficiency of government operations, hastening national priorities, improving services, and reinforcing the UAE’s wider path of development.
