An Abu Dhabi family is offering an AED 15,000 reward, no questions asked, for the safe return of Jiku, a two-year-old white Maltese who has been missing from Al Mushrif since July 3, 2026.
Jiku vanished just two days after his family moved into a new home near Mushrif Mall. A rescue dog, he had never changed homes before, and the disruption appears to have unsettled him. When no one saw him for roughly fifteen minutes on the day he disappeared, the family assumed he had wedged himself into a corner — a familiar habit — but he had made it outside.
Nine weeks on, the search has expanded from two people walking their own street into a coordinated effort: a WhatsApp volunteer group, a flyer campaign across several neighborhoods, and the AED 15,000 reward. There have been dozens of sightings, but none has yet brought Jiku home.
His owner, Priyanka Tamang, originally from Kalimpong, India, has been out looking almost every day. Jiku is microchipped. Anyone with information can contact the family directly at +971 55 570 3025.
