UAE car rentals now up to 40% cheaper for nol Travel cardholders

Europcar has become the latest brand to join the nol Travel card’s benefits network, with a new arrangement that lets holders save as much as 40 percent when they rent a vehicle. Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) confirmed the tie-up, which takes effect September 1 and remains available for twelve months.

The discount applies both to rentals inside the UAE and to Europcar branches in other countries, giving cardholders a wider set of choices when they need a car. RTA framed the deal as an example of how partnerships can be converted into tangible gains for residents, extending what the nol Travel card delivers past its core transport function.

According to the authority, the agreement adds to an expanding lineup of perks tied to the card, pairing convenience and reach with pricing meant to stay competitive. RTA said the move deepens its commitment to building out that range of advantages for users.

First introduced in 2024, the nol Travel card covers fare payments across Dubai Metro, RTA buses and the Dubai Tram, and can also settle taxi charges and public parking fees. Its reach goes well beyond getting around the city: more than 100 partner businesses — among them hotels, restaurants, shops, attractions and adventure operators — extend deals to cardholders.

Residents who connect the card to the nol Plus program can accumulate points and access further benefits on top of those offers. The Europcar partnership now folds expanded rental options into that same package.

A nol Travel card costs AED 100 to purchase. That price covers a silver card in a distinctive design, a starting balance of AED 19, and a bundle of offers and discounts valued at over AED 17,000. To claim a deal, holders can present the physical card at a participating vendor or display the QR code from their account using the nol Pay app.
