Overseas Filipinos transacting in person with their dedicated government bank will now be dealing with a different location in the country’s capital. The Overseas Filipino Bank, the digital-only lending arm that Land Bank of the Philippines runs for migrant workers and their families, has told clients that its Manila office is no longer at the site many had come to know.
According to the bank’s advisory, transactions, walk-in visits, and other in-person dealings should now be directed to the Palacio del Gobernador Building, situated where Andres Soriano and General Luna Streets meet in Intramuros, Manila. The office previously operated out of Liwasang Bonifacio in the Ermita district, the plaza fronting the Manila Central Post Office where the OFBank Center had long been based.
Clients were reminded to update their records with the new address for any dealings going forward. The Palacio del Gobernador is a government building in the historic walled quarter that already hosts several state offices, including the Commission on Elections and the Intramuros Administration.
OFBank traces its present form to Executive Order No. 44, issued by then-President Rodrigo Duterte in September 2017, which folded the former Philippine Postal Savings Bank into Land Bank and reoriented it toward the banking needs of overseas Filipinos. As a branchless, digital institution, it channels most of its services through mobile and online platforms, positioning its physical office primarily for concerns that cannot be resolved electronically.
