Volleyball mainstay Emilio Reyes to headline youth talent camp in Dubai

Young volleyball hopefuls across the Gulf and beyond will get a chance to train under one of Philippine volleyball’s well-known figures when the FIL-Middle East Nation Select stages its Talent Identification and Exposure Camp in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Emilio “Kungfu” Reyes, whose coaching portfolio spans both collegiate and professional ranks, anchors the camp’s coaching lineup. He currently serves as Program Head for UST Volleyball and head coach of the UST Girls Volleyball Team, while also steering the San Beda University Women’s Team. On the professional side, he works as an assistant coach for the Farm Fresh Foxies in the Premier Volleyball League.

Organizers have opened the camp to players between the ages of 9 and 21, positioning it as a pathway for aspiring athletes to be scouted and gain competitive exposure. Interested participants are being urged to register early to reserve a slot.

Coordination for the camp stretches across several countries, with designated coaches fielding inquiries in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. In the Emirates, Coach Patrick Dela Cruz (+971 54 218 6267) and Ms. Honnie May Ang (+971 56 553 0290) are handling registrations. Saudi-based points of contact include Coach Chris Peña in Al Khobar (+966 550 106 507) and Coach Norman Canas in Riyadh (+966 536 756 698), while Coach Kathy Sotejo (+974 3383 8841) manages queries out of Doha, Qatar.

Additional regional coordinators, Coach Mikey Calungcaguin (+966 570080892) and Coach Arci Fernando (+966 53 5588641), are also assisting prospective registrants across the broader Middle East.
